My heart was thumping against my chest. It was the first time I was going to spend time with the one I dream about all the time.
I went upstairs with a pounding heart and ended up seeing him as I stood at the door-the effortlessly hot Adrit Sengupta.
He was sitting on a chair at the end of the table.
The room looked like his bedroom, I guessed.
It was big, elegantly decorated, with walls in a soft white shade.
Not much furniture, except for a large bed occupying the center of the room.
A bookshelf stood beside a big window, from where one could see my house perfectly.
The window was covered with a white curtain. I could clearly see the balcony and my bed beside my room's window.
The table was on one side of the door, against the wall.
A small desk stood near the bed, with a lamp set on it.
A wooden cupboard was placed in front of the bookshelf.
The room was nicely decorated-elegant, simple, yet eye-catching and charming, much like the owner: always stunningly irresistible.
Maybe he liked things to be more natural, organic, and simple.
Today, he was wearing a black t-shirt with grey joggers.
Even in the simplest outfit, he was the most attractive man in the world for me.
He was concentrating on a page of a book, and on the other side of the table, Rimi was sitting.
A sudden fire of rage surged through my whole body, burning like lava from a newly erupted volcano, seeing her near him.
Adrit was looking at the book, and the girl-the fucking girl-was looking at him with a sinful glance.
She held a pen in her right hand, and she was licking the other end with her lips.
A sudden urge to run up to her, hold her chin with one hand, and slap her with the other until my hands ached came to my mind immediately.
I knew the girl was very clingy toward boys, especially hot ones.
Rimi was in my class at school. She was better than me in studies-she always got more marks than me.
She could be seen with boys all the time at school. Senior, junior, or in the same class-age or class didn't matter to her when it came to clinging to boys.
I didn't like her personally before, but now she had entered the competition to get my Adrit!
I swore she was going to regret it if she tried any extra moves to get close to him. The useless Rimi would remember my name for the rest of her life.
"Hey, why are you standing there, Ritika? Come in."
The sudden voice broke my attention from the useless girl.
Adrit was calling me by my name for the first time.
My heart skipped a beat.
"Y-yes... n-nothing. I just... I just came," I stammered. My voice cracked, and I couldn't answer properly. My brain felt hazy.
But the way he pronounced my name sent a chill down my spine.
"Hmm, sit here," he said, pointing to the chair beside Rimi's.
Without wasting another second, I stepped into the room his room for the first time, with trembling feet, and took my seat beside her, my head still shaking.
Then he focused on me with his dark, intense eyes.
His curious voice came: "Exams aren't far now. I hope you've completed some of the chapters! Am I right?"
"Yes... the last two units are untouched, and the others are almost done," I answered immediately, my voice shaky as I gave him a sharp glance.
"Rimi was also saying to continue from the 4th unit. Then I'll start from that unit, okay?" he asked.
"Hmm..." I murmured.
I opened the chapter Magnetism.
He could teach me magnetism in theory, but the magnetism between us-could he explain that?
No. He might be an expert in physics, but the intense pull between us, like the north and south poles of a magnet, couldn't be understood by him.
